Michelle Tiflinsky, Pediatric Occupational Therapist & Development Expert

Michelle Tiflinsky is a pediatric occupational therapist working in Williamsburg, Brooklyn and Manhattan. She holds a Bachelors and Masters of Science degree in Occupational Therapy (OT) from Long Island University.

Michelle has a variety of clinical experience including working in public schools (elementary and middle school), early intervention and the geriatric population.

For over 10 years she has treated school-age children working in public schools which consisted of helping students reach their academic goals and gaining their independence in the school environment. Some areas she’s addressed have been organizational skills, handwriting, visual motor skills, visual perceptual skills, gross motor skills, sensory integration and activities of daily living. She has also worked closely with parents and teachers to ensure carryover of strategies are being utilized in and out of the school environment.

Michelle has also worked with children specifically newborn to 3 years of age addressing developmental delays, various disabilities and collaborating with other professionals and parents to discuss the treatment plan and progress of the child.

She also has a vast amount of experience treating geriatric patients, helping them regain the skills needed to continue living a meaningful and independent life to the best of their abilities.

Michelle’s calling was to become an OT but more specifically a pediatric OT. She truly loves working with little ones, their curiosity to the world and watching them grow and develop has brought much joy to her life. She believes that therapy should be play and not work. And that building your little ones confidence and self esteem is the most important element that can be ingrained.
